# Cypher Procedures And Algorithms Reference

## Consumer View

Procedures are the row-producing extension surface of Cypher in Nexyron. If clauses shape the query pipeline and functions transform values, procedures are the parts that execute a larger operation and stream records back into that pipeline.

## How To Think About Procedures

Different families serve different roles:

- projection procedures prepare analytical graph views
- abstraction-platform procedures define, build, materialize, serve, score, evaluate, and optimize the higher-level ML and decisioning runtime
- semantic procedures bridge embeddings and retrieval into Cypher
- algorithm procedures compute scores, traversals, communities, paths, cuts, or structural features

The key user pattern is:

```cypher
CALL nexyron.pagerank() YIELD node_id, score
WITH node_id, score
RETURN node_id, score
LIMIT 10
```

That is why procedures are documented separately from clauses and functions. They are not isolated APIs. They are composable row sources inside the same query language.

- If you are deciding between community algorithms, start with [Algorithms/Community Detection](https://nexyron.tech/docs/cypher/procedures/algorithms/community-detection).
- If you need ranking or influence, start with [Algorithms/Centrality](https://nexyron.tech/docs/cypher/procedures/algorithms/centrality).
- If you need the feature/snapshot/dataset/model/policy runtime, start with [Abstraction Platform](https://nexyron.tech/docs/cypher/procedures/abstraction-platform).
- If you need semantic search and reranking, start with [Semantic](https://nexyron.tech/docs/cypher/procedures/semantic).
