# One connected model

Most analytics stacks are several systems in a trench coat: a database for the records, something else for relationships, something else for search over documents, something else again for models, and a scheduler holding it together. Every boundary between them is a copy of the data, a contract to maintain, and a place for the answer to go wrong.

Nexyron holds one model. The same subjects carry their relationships, their history, their meaning and the models built on them, and a question can use all of it at once.

## What that changes in practice

**Relationships are first-class, not joins.** Asking how a store rolls up through its district to its division, or which intermediaries two claims share, is a direct question rather than a chain of joins that gets slower and more fragile as it lengthens.

**History belongs to the subject.** Each subject carries its own sequence of events with time attached. "How has this changed" and "how does this compare" become the same kind of question, not a separate reporting exercise.

**Meaning is searchable alongside the records.** The documents describing your business sit in the same model as the records describing its activity, so an answer can draw on both. A policy document can explain a number in the same answer that produced it.

**Models live where the data lives.** Scoring, forecasting and estimating the effect of an action happen against the current model, not against an export that was accurate last Tuesday.

## What you gain

**One question instead of a pipeline.** The questions worth asking usually need relationships and history and meaning together. When those live in separate systems, such a question becomes a project. Here it stays a question.

**Answers that carry their evidence.** Because the answer comes from one model, it can show its working: which records, which period, which definition. A number you cannot trace is worse than no number.

**Less to run.** One system to install, secure and keep current, rather than five and the integrations between them.

**Nothing lost between stages.** No point where relationships get flattened away or history collapses into a total, because there is no handoff.
